The Woman Behind the Music

Hi. I am Taanel Wilson and I am a composer. Currently, I am a student partaking in my (BA) Hons course in music. Before this I took a HND in music, graduating with a Distinction. From an early age I have always had an interest in music, starting with learning the Trombone in school. I have continued to play throughout my life and have been in various ensembles, from orchestras to Jazz bands. Currently I am a member of Nottingham Concert Band and Bingham Wind Band, which puts on frequent concerts. I also can play the Saxophone.

Composing music is one of my great passions. I like writing music for all different genres but I specialise in children's music . I enjoy writing music for the moving image, so going into writing for TV and adverts is a goal.

Part-time I work at a primary school as a midday supervisor. I really enjoy this as it is a fantastic way of interacting with kids and I believe it helps me when writing children's music.
